Butterfly Network Partners With East Anglian Air Ambulance

Butterfly Network partners with East Anglian Air Ambulance to bring the power of ultrasound to emergency assessment.
Butterfly Network has signed an innovative partnership with one of the UK’s crucial providers of
emergency medical care. East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) are working along Butterfly Network on the successful deployment of a unique ultrasound governance and education programme.
This innovative approach will allow the emergency clinicians to assess cardiac arrest, to guide IV placements and provide full trauma ultrasound scans before the patients reach A&E.
Butterfly iQ+ is a durable and simple-to-use handheld ultrasound probe which interfaces seamlessly with the iOS devices already in use by UK medics through an award-winning app to create a powerful imaging system.
The Butterfly iQ+ allows users to perform quick, precise patient assessment in the field. Butterfly’s software solution, CompassTM, will not only help streamline documentation and quality assurance (QA), but will also empower this high-level unit to provide attestation and QA support for the group of critical care doctors and paramedics.
The efforts of EAAA to modernise emergency care don’t stop here. The team is collaborating with peers from other Trusts to ensure the smooth and optimal deployment of their
newly-acquired Butterfly iQ+ devices in a way that benefits both the clinical staff and the patients.
In addition, by leveraging the custom Butterfly Cloud solution to track what scans have been collected where and when, these organisations will optimise their preparedness for emergency care situations over time.
